Mark H. Sterk

Mark’s services have included collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitration and matters before the Illinois Labor Relations Board. Mark has extensive experience involving the sale and purchase of real estate by public bodies as well as TIF Districts, annexation agreements and redevelopment agreements. One project involved the development of a 60-unit condominium building by a municipal client. Another project was the acquisition of multiple troubled apartment buildings. The buildings were demolished, and the land was leased to a non-profit agency for the construction of a 70-unit independent living senior citizen facility.

Mark also has broad experience representing public bodies in litigation and administrative hearings.

Mark is a former director of the Historic Pullman Foundation. He is active in fundraising efforts for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. His other interests include spending time with his grandchildren and following the University of Illinois athletics.
