Ancel Glink literally wrote the book on local government law. We’ve been around for nearly 100 years and, in that time, have used this deep well of knowledge and experience to write the policies, ordinances, and statutes that local governments use to this day. All of our attorneys work for local governments in some capacity and continue to channel their expertise, promoting initiatives at the local and state levels that maximize the goals and objectives of local governments. We also leverage this experience to help our private sector clients who have business with local governments to achieve effective and efficient results. We love what we do, and it shows in our commitment to our clients.
Innovative & Creative
Ancel Glink wrote the first impact fee ordinance; we introduced the idea of stormwater fees; we established the first insurance pool (and others); we have assisted in writing legislation to help our local government clients in specific areas of their governance and affairs; we continually strive toward optimizing how local governments operate to achieve their community goal and objectives while balancing the interests of those who have business before them.

Giving Back to the Local Government Community
Ancel Glink volunteers thousands of hours writing articles and books and speaking on and providing original content concerning matters that are relevant to the day-to-day governance and affairs of our local governments clients; we do this not only through state and national organizations, but also through original Ancel Glink outlets and programming via Municipal Minute, the Quorum Forum, Newly Elected Officials trainings, and email newsletters on general local government topics, and targeted newsletters on land use and other topics.
