Alexis Carter

Alexis discovered her interest in municipal law during her time at law school and now works to represent municipalities in civil defense litigation. As a member of the firm’s litigation practice group, Alexis is committed to providing thoughtful and strategic counsel to help local governments navigate the wide range of legal issues that affect and shape their communities and governance. Alexis is also a frequent contributor to the firm’s Municipal Minute, where she writes on emerging issues affecting public bodies.

Before joining Ancel Glink, Alexis served as a law clerk at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General in the General Law Bureau focusing on administrative law, federal civil rights, and workers’ compensation issues.

Alexis earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from DePaul University, with a concentration in Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies.
