Gregory A. Rode
Partner

For the past 27 years, Greg’s practice focused on the defense of workers’ compensation claims.  He continues to represent employers in the State of Illinois, including those in manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, hospitality, and service industries, insurance carriers, governmental entities and risk pool members.  

Greg currently resides in Winthrop Harbor, IL. He graduated from Zion Benton Township High School, where he participated in cross country and drama programs. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications and Theatre, and a minor in History, from North Central College in Naperville, IL. Greg attended Northern Illinois College of Law, where he earned a Book Award in Administrative Law and Corporations. He graduated from Northern Illinois College of Law in 1988, where he earned a Juris Doctor Degree, Cum Laude.  

Greg is experienced in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims from initial analysis and investigation through appeals to the Supreme Court. This includes the recent Illinois Supreme Court case, The Venture Newberg-Perini, Stone & Webster v. The Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and Ronald Doherty, 2013 IL 115728.

Greg also participates in seminars and mock trials which involve all issues in workers’ compensation claims.

Greg is committed to working together with the employer and their representatives to obtain the best result possible. He is meticulous and thorough in his handling of all assigned claims. He is experienced in handling complex litigation. He is also available to answer general questions on matters not yet referred to counsel.

Greg is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and has been a member in good standing of the Illinois Bar since 1988. He is also a member of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers’ Association.

Greg is passionate about golf, the Cubs, and writing and performing comedy.
