Our People

Michael P. Halpin

Mike is a member of the firm’s workers’ compensation group, and cares deeply about amicably resolving workplace issues for the firm’s local government clients.

Mike joined the firm in 2019 as a law clerk and was recently sworn in as an attorney. Before joining Ancel Glink, he interned with the Voting Rights Project at the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. Mike also served as a judicial extern under Judge Raul Vega in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. While in law school, Mike earned a CALI Award in Legislative Advocacy and won Best Advocate in Intensive Trial Advocacy. Mike also served as a student editor for Chicago-Kent’s Illinois Public Sector Employee Relations Report.

Before attending law school, Mike served as a scheduling intern in the Office of Senator Richard J. Durbin. He is also an alumnus and former employee of Mikva Challenge, a non-partisan organization devoted to youth voice and training the next generation of our nation’s civic leaders.

When Mike is not working, he volunteers as a non-partisan poll watcher on Election Day with Election Protection and often supports many of Mikva Challenge’s events and programs. He enjoys biking Chicago’s Lakefront, brewing cold brew coffee, and playing with Pistachio, his ferocious Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
