Maulik Sharma
Associate
Maulik is an experienced litigation attorney who practices chiefly on civil rights, tort and business litigation, the representation of governmental self-insurance pools, and municipal law.
Maulik has been lead trial counsel in many successful cases in federal and state courts and is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and Illinois. Maulik has extensive experience in conducting depositions, brief writing and has successfully argued before state appellate courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Maulik was with the Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor where he gained extensive experience in the prosecution and enforcement of federal labor laws. While practicing in New York, Maulik represented large commercial and residential landlords in lease disputes and administrative proceedings. Maulik also handled asset and debt recovery for large financial institutions in Florida and served as a public defender.
Maulik graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and received book awards in Real Property and Trial Advocacy. Maulik was on the Law School Trial Team and served as a teaching assistant for legal research and writing.
In his free time, when he has any, Maulik enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and their dog, Ladoo. Maulik is an avid reader, board game player and enjoys building models from various science fiction properties.
