Matthew T. DiCianni
Associate

Matt zealously represents his clients in court, devising complex and novel solutions on their behalf.

Matt focuses his practice on employment and business litigation, regularly appearing in court on behalf of employers, insurance companies, and businesses. Matt has experience in every aspect of litigation, handling cases from the pre-suit phase through trial and up to appeal. Matt is an aggressive advocate for his clients, doing what is necessary to obtain favorable outcomes. 

Matt also has considerable experience advising clients on a range of labor and employment issues. This includes advising clients on compliance with ERISA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Matt has also created affirmative action policies, advised clients on employment discrimination issues, and drafted non-compete agreements. He has updated employee handbooks and personnel policies. He has given dozens of presentations and webinars on various labor and employment issues, including compliance with cannabis laws, the FFCRA, and negotiations with labor unions. Matt writes a weekly article on Ancel Glink’s labor and employment blog, The Workplace Report, where he discusses legal issues relevant to both employers and employees. 

Matt also has a sizable gaming law practice. He represents terminal operators, manufacturers, distributors, game developers, and others involved in the gaming industry. He has successfully litigated administrative appeals before the Illinois Gaming Board and has sued the Gaming Board in both state and federal court and won.
