Junira A. Castillo
Associate
Junira focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense, wherein she manages and litigates all phases of workers’ compensation claims on behalf of employers.
She has represented both Petitioners and Respondents and has extensive experience litigating on-the-job injuries before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and the Illinois Circuit Court. Junira has counseled clients on workers’ compensation laws, risk management, medical management and trial preparation. She has consistently obtained positive litigation results at the arbitration, commission and circuit court levels and has resolved complex workers’ compensation disputes prior to Trial as a result of detailed preparation and consistent communication from initial investigation and case analysis through medical expert retention and strategic client guidance.
Junira attended Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Loyola University in Chicago and The John Marshall Law School. Junira has been in private practice since 2016, after having served as a law clerk for Justice Reyes in the Appellate Court.
Junira is passionate about traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
