Joyce M. Jezeer
Associate
Joyce brings a unique perspective to our local government practice with her experience representing local governments in the Netherlands and the U.S.
Joyce’s practice focuses on all aspects of local government law, including real estate law, zoning and economic development, contract law, and construction law.
Joyce originates from the Netherlands, where she started her career as an IT Auditor before entering the law profession as a local government lawyer and mediator in the The Hague area. She gained almost a decade of experience representing local governments in transactional and litigation matters, working on a broad range of practice areas within local government law. She has experience appearing before local zoning boards, the Court of The Hague, and the Supreme Administrative Court of the Netherlands: the Council of State.
The switch to US and Illinois law has given her new perspectives, but above all renewed enthusiasm and pleasure in the practice of local government law.
Joyce earned her LL.M. from Leiden University, one of Europe’s oldest and leading universities.
