Jonathan Zarate
Associate
Jonathan Zarate is an Associate in our Workers’ Compensation department.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor at Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2017.
While in law school, Jonathan served as a student editor of the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal. He also received CALI Awards for obtaining the highest grade in his Legal Writing III and Labor and Employment Law classes. He was also named as a 2014 American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholar.
Jonathan gained valuable transactional and litigation experience throughout law school. He interned in the legal department of a large pharmaceutical company. He clerked for several law firms specializing in immigration law, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, and labor and employment law.
Prior to joining Ancel Glink, Jonathan defended clients in professional negligence, automobile, and workers’ compensation matters. He also has prior practical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician.
In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing sports, traveling locally and internationally, and volunteering to help disadvantaged youth.
