Our People

Daniel I. Lev

Dan is an associate in the firm’s local government law practice with a focus on zoning, land use, and municipal law.

At Ancel Glink, Dan advises local governments on topics related to spot-zoning, wide-scale rezoning, ordinance drafting, and other municipal issues.

Prior to joining Ancel Glink, Dan externed with a Chicago legal non-profit where he worked on land use liability matters, tax increment financing, and community legal advocacy. Additionally, Dan was a law clerk at an affordable housing law firm.

Dan received his Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College where Dan played varsity soccer. Later, Dan received his Juris Doctor with honors, from the University of Illinois College of Law. In law school, Dan represented asylum seekers as part of the College of Law’s Immigration Law Clinic and worked as a zoning analyst as part of the National Zoning Atlas project. Dan also served as a Notes Editor for the Journal of Law, Technology, and Policy and received CALI awards in both Introduction to Advocacy and Race, Society, and the Law.

When not practicing law, Dan enjoys running, exploring Chicago, and being disappointed in the Chicago Bulls.
