Our People

Stephen Soltanzadeh

Stephen practices in the areas of urban redevelopment, real estate, and appellate law.

Since joining Ancel Glink in 2015, Stephen has focused his practice on urban redevelopment and complex real estate transactions.  Representing regional land banks, Stephen works on real estate and corporate matters related to the rehabilitation and redevelopment of vacant and blighted industrial, commercial, and residential properties.

As counsel to the Cook County Land Bank Authority (CCLBA) and South Suburban Land Bank and Development Authority (SSLBDA), Stephen develops and employs legal strategies for acquiring, managing and repurposing property, including the use of judicial processes, such as abandonment and foreclosure, and voluntary conveyance structures. Stephen is also integral to the Land Bank team’s use of novel active conduit transaction strategies, by which the team leverages government powers and private partnerships to spur redevelopment. Stephen’s use of these strategies expedites redevelopment projects, mitigates risk, and generates revenue for future client operations.
