Since joining Ancel Glink, Jessi has focused her practice on election law as well as local government law, representing municipalities, townships, and school districts.
Jessi is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law. While at DePaul, she gained litigation experience as a 711-licensed attorney with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office public utilities division as well as the Chicago Transit Authority. She earned her undergraduate degree at American University’s School of International Services in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Ancel Glink, Jessi was Assistant Counsel at the Illinois Municipal League, where she advised municipalities on a variety of legal and non-legal issues and lobbied to advance legislation that impacted municipal governments. In addition to those activities, she was staff liaison to the Illinois Municipal League Home Rule Attorney’s Committee.
Jessi was also Assistant Counsel to the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives, where she served as attorney to the Environment and Energy Committees. She began her legal career practicing international criminal law at a research institution based in Sicily. She is involved in several non-profit organizations, serving as a Board Member for the Government Bar Association and the Leading India's Future Today (LIFT) Foundation, as well as a member of the South Asian Bar Association.
